Pick and pack in Brahmin,
ship with ShipStation
Brahmin handles inventory, picking, and packing. ShipStation handles rates and labels. Tracking syncs back automatically — and flows to your sales channels.
What syncs — and in which direction
Brahmin pushes shipments to ShipStation. ShipStation pushes tracking back. Brahmin is the central hub — ShipStation handles the last mile.
How it works
- Brahmin sends shipments, not orders — ShipStation is for label printing and rate selection only
- All picking and packing happens in Brahmin before anything goes to ShipStation
- Rate comparison and carrier selection happen entirely in ShipStation
- You can always ship directly in Brahmin without ShipStation if needed

Frequently asked questions
Does Brahmin send orders or shipments to ShipStation?
Brahmin sends shipments, not orders. Once an order is picked and packed in Brahmin, the shipment is pushed to ShipStation with all the order and shipping details. ShipStation handles label printing and rate selection, then tracking syncs back to Brahmin.
Can I choose which shipments go to ShipStation?
Yes. You control which shipments are pushed to ShipStation. You can also bulk send — for example, 50 shipments at a time — or ship directly within Brahmin without ShipStation if you prefer.
Does Brahmin handle shipping rates and label printing?
No. Rate selection, carrier comparison, and label printing all happen in ShipStation. Brahmin handles everything up to the point of shipping — inventory, picking, packing — then hands off to ShipStation for fulfillment.
What happens after a label is printed in ShipStation?
Once a shipment is processed in ShipStation and a tracking number is generated, the tracking number and shipping status sync back to Brahmin automatically. If the order came from an ecommerce channel like Shopify, Brahmin then pushes the tracking info back to that channel too.
How long does the ShipStation integration take to set up?
About 15 minutes. You create a custom store in ShipStation, Brahmin generates the API keys, and you connect them. Your implementation manager walks you through it during onboarding.
Can I still ship orders without ShipStation?
Yes. ShipStation is optional. You can manually mark orders as shipped within Brahmin and enter tracking numbers directly. ShipStation is for teams that want automated rate comparison and bulk label printing.
