Acceptable use policy

1. Introduction

This acceptable use policy (“Policy”) governs your use of the Brahmin Solutions cloud-based MRP and inventory management platform (the “Service”). This Policy is incorporated into and forms part of the Brahmin Solutions Terms and Conditions.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to comply with this Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, you must not use the Service.

2. Permitted use

The Service is provided for lawful internal business operations only. Permitted uses include, but are not limited to:

  • Inventory management and stock tracking
  • Manufacturing resource planning (MRP)
  • Production planning and scheduling
  • Order management and fulfillment
  • Purchasing and supplier management
  • Bill of materials (BOM) management
  • Lot and batch traceability
  • Warehouse and logistics operations
  • Business reporting and analytics
  • Integration with authorized third-party platforms

3. Prohibited activities

You may not use the Service to engage in any of the following activities:

  • Illegal activities – Using the Service for any purpose that violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation
  • Intellectual property infringement – Uploading, storing, or transmitting content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others, including copyrights, trademarks, patents, or trade secrets
  • Malicious code – Uploading, transmitting, or distributing viruses, worms, trojans, ransomware, or any other malicious code or harmful software
  • Unauthorized access – Attempting to gain unauthorized access to other user accounts, computer systems, or networks connected to the Service
  • Reverse engineering – Reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or otherwise attempting to derive the source code or underlying algorithms of the Service
  • Competitive analysis – Using the Service for competitive analysis, benchmarking, or building a competing product or service without prior written consent from Brahmin Solutions
  • Reselling or sublicensing – Reselling, sublicensing, leasing, or otherwise providing access to the Service to unauthorized third parties
  • Objectionable content – Using the Service to store or transmit material that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable
  • Spam and unsolicited communications – Sending spam, chain letters, or unsolicited commercial communications through the Service
  • Service disruption – Interfering with or disrupting the integrity, performance, or availability of the Service or its underlying infrastructure
  • Automated access – Using automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or similar tools to access, collect data from, or interact with the Service without prior authorization from Brahmin Solutions
  • Exceeding usage limits – Exceeding reasonable usage thresholds, including API rate limits, storage quotas, or bandwidth allocations as defined in your service plan

4. Account security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. This includes:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, including usernames and passwords
  • Restricting access to your account and devices to authorized personnel only
  • Notifying Brahmin Solutions immediately at support@brahmin-solutions.com upon discovering any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach
  • Ensuring that all users under your account comply with this Policy

You are liable for all activities that occur under your account, whether or not you have authorized them.

5. Data responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy, quality, and legality of all data you input into the Service. In particular:

  • You must ensure that any data you upload or enter does not violate the rights of any third party
  • You must not input sensitive financial data such as credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or other payment credentials into free-text fields not specifically designed for that purpose
  • You must comply with all applicable data protection and privacy laws, including but not limited to GDPR, CCPA, and any other relevant regulations, when collecting and processing data through the Service
  • You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your data as appropriate for your business needs

6. Fair use

The Service is designed for standard business use consistent with normal operational patterns. Usage that significantly exceeds typical patterns — defined as exceeding 300% of average customer usage for your service tier — may be subject to review.

If your usage is deemed excessive, Brahmin Solutions will provide reasonable notice and work with you to resolve the situation. Remedies may include:

  • Upgrading to a higher service tier
  • Throttling or rate-limiting specific operations
  • Applying additional usage-based charges

Brahmin Solutions will not suspend or terminate your account under this section without first providing at least 30 days' written notice and a reasonable opportunity to bring usage within acceptable levels.

In cases of extreme or malicious usage that threatens the integrity, security, or availability of the Service, Brahmin Solutions reserves the right to immediately restrict or suspend access without prior notice.

7. Enforcement

Brahmin Solutions reserves the right to investigate any suspected violation of this Policy. In the event of a confirmed violation, we may take one or more of the following actions at our sole discretion:

  • Issue a written warning detailing the violation and required corrective action
  • Temporarily suspend access to the Service while the violation is being investigated or remediated
  • Permanently terminate your account and access to the Service
  • Remove or disable access to any content that violates this Policy
  • Report illegal activities to the appropriate law enforcement authorities

The severity of the enforcement action will be proportionate to the nature and gravity of the violation. Where practicable, we will provide notice before taking action, except in cases where immediate action is necessary to protect the Service or other users.

8. Reporting violations

If you become aware of any violation of this Policy, please report it immediately by contacting us at support@brahmin-solutions.com. Please include as much detail as possible, including the nature of the violation and any supporting evidence.

Brahmin Solutions will investigate all reported violations promptly and take appropriate action as outlined in Section 7.

9. Changes to this policy

Brahmin Solutions may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will post the revised Policy on our website with an updated “Last updated” date.

Your continued use of the Service after the revised Policy has become effective indicates that you have read, understood, and agreed to the current version of this Policy.
